Delicate, hand-knotted, natural-dye, weak-backed or heavily contaminated pieces may require a specialist process - or may be declined after inspection if safe care is not possible.
We begin with what the carpet is made of, how it is constructed, the condition of its backing, the stability of its colour and any signs of prior wear. The safest method follows the carpet - never the other way around.
The piece is measured and its existing stains, fading, loose edges, weak areas, fringe condition and other concerns are noted before care begins. If anything changes the quote or expected result, we discuss it first.
Loose grit, hair and fine dust are removed before the main clean. This matters because dry particles can sit deep in the pile and turn abrasive under everyday footfall.
Visible marks are identified and treated individually where the fibre and dye allow. Tea, coffee, oil, pet accidents and older unknown stains can behave very differently, so no blanket stain promise is made.
The cleaning system is selected for the carpet's fibre, pile, backing, construction and colour stability. Standard synthetic pieces, wool, viscose, silk and hand-knotted rugs do not belong in one identical process.
Where moisture-based cleaning is suitable, cleaning residue and excess moisture are extracted carefully. Drying is managed with attention to shape, colour, backing and pile so the carpet is not rushed back damp.
The finish is reviewed, the pile is settled where suitable and the carpet is packed for a clean journey home. Any result limitations or after-care notes are shared before return.

No. A one-method-fits-all clean can be risky. The method depends on fibre, construction, backing, colour stability, care instructions and condition. We choose the process after inspection and explain any concern before proceeding.
Some marks respond very well, while old stains, dye loss, bleaching, burns, chemical damage and contamination within the backing may remain. Odour treatment also depends on how deeply the source has travelled. Complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
Unstable dyes, ageing fibres, weak backing, previous home treatments and hidden manufacturing issues can create risk. We assess visible warning signs and select a suitable method, but inherent material defects can only become apparent during cleaning.
